We all have major Spring Fever at my house. It's even started to affect our homeschooling, we're all feeling a bit bored with our curriculum, and desperately needed to bring in something new and interested. Bring on the Spring Nature Study.
Yesterday, we all got dressed up nice and warm, (it was a COLD Spring day), and went out for a walk in the rain looking for signs of Spring! I printed out some lovely "signs of Spring" sheets from HERE, it is from a great blog called http://www.handbookofnaturestudy.blogspot.com/ If you want some really great tips for doing a nature study with your kids, check out this blog...it's full of printable sheets, links, lessons and inspiration.
After we filled out our Spring observation sheet, (actually we saw so many signs of Spring we did three sheets worth), then we did a little Spring craft. We decided to find something that would celebrate the rainy day we were having here.
You can find the template to do this craft yourself HERE!
What a fantastic start to a Spring Nature study!
