Spring Nature Study...part II

I just wanted to share some more Spring Nature Study ideas with you.  I found a great site with links to loads of printable sheets.  One of my favourite ones is the "Sky Watching" sheet, which can be found here!!,
This site has other great nature learning sheets...what's at your bird feeder, nature walks, and daily temp recording.

We begin our morning with drawing a picture of what the sky looks like, and then there is space below to write out a description.  It's a nice reminder to "look up!"  Somedays it seems like you spend the entire day looking ahead or looking down...usually it's a child who reminds us that there is something up above worth looking at. My hope is that by doing this often enough, I will set my children up with good nature lovin' habits, such as always looking up and around at the world around them.  After our "school" work is done, we head outside, rain or shine.  I have a general rule in my house that there is no tv or movies until the weekend, so entertainment must be found elsewhere, and there is so much wonder right in our own backyard.

Some fantastic sites to visit with loads of Nature Study inspiration and information are:
Nature Study-Charlotte Mason style (loads of info and links)
Nature Journals-LaPaz Homelearning
Ordinary Life Magic Too
5 Orange Potatoes (one of my personal favourites)!

Enjoy the world that surrounds you!
