We're taking the week off here at the Toadstool! Can you believe that summer is nearly over?
This is such a busy time for us, the garden is producing a bounty of produce that needs to be picked, canned and put away, (why did I plant 2 rows of summer turnips again?)!
We're refurbishing our chicken coop...we lost all of our baby chicks to a hungry raccoon, so we're getting some quick growing meat birds who will have to share the coop with our trusty layers.
And of course, summer is winding down...and there is so much summer living left to do! This week is going to bring trips to the beach, visits with friends and some trips to nearby places, (including the very cheesy "Storyland" full of fibreglass representations of beloved fairy tale characters...it's seriously a MUST DO trip as far as the children are concerned! I will remind myself to see the magic in this place, see it through their eyes)! And we have all of our other side projects...the endless mound of knitting, felt waiting to be turned into fabulous little creations, and a homeschool cupboard that needs my attention! *phew*
This is just my list...I know Shanti is busy too, with work, her daughters 8th birthday, trips and crafting! We were talking this morning about what a crazy week it's going to be, so I made the executive decision...a blog vacation it will be!!!
