It's Beach Week...Lets Create A Driftwood Vase!

Beach days with my family had me inspired to collect the silvery soft drift wood twigs that are scattered along the shore line.   Once these beautiful pieces were home with me I just had to create with them...so out came the driftwood vase!

For this craft you will need
driftwood twigs
a jar
2 elastics
raffia

First put your elastics around the jar, then add in the twigs one by one until the jar is surrounded ~ tie on some raffia over the elastics  and VOILA!  You can add a little flair on the front if you wish. We added a butterfly and some sand dollars...simple and beautiful!

Our new twig vase has found it's home at the center of our table ~ sure to be filled with  our garden's delights as they show their sweet faces...

  4. I've been trying to figure out how to re-style a big 'ol plastic planter, but couldn't quite decide what to cover it over with. I considered twigs, but that's not quite the look I'm aiming for. But driftwood! Driftwood may just be the answer.

    Lovely vase :-)

  10. I LOVE this! SO simple and so beautiful. I am far from any driftwood but may just forage the woods behind our house and find something there. Wouldn't fallen birch twigs be gorgeous? p.s. made the glittery dragonflies with Jamie on the weekend and they turned out perfectly.
