I'm thrilled to announce our latest giveaway! Our dear sweet friend and neighbour, (she literally lives down the hill from me), has offered up some of her beautiful skin care products to 2 lucky winners!
The story of Sigrid Natural Skin Care
Sigrid Natural Skin Care began in the summer of 2004, shortly after a personal experience with a homemade herbal salve. A wound in my hand wouldn't heal with conventional drugstore creams. Frustrated, I decided to try my friend's homemade comfrey salve. Within a day the swelling went down and the infection ceased. Excited about the efficacy of this homemade product I asked my friend to teach me how to make it. I immediately fell in love with the experience of crafting natural herbal body products, and thus Sigrid Natural Skin Care was born.
I began producing larger batches of my homemade skin care products and giving them to friends as presents. Shortly thereafter, the demand started to grow and people were placing orders. Since 2004 I have been apprenticing, researching, and experimenting to create my current line of unique skin care products.
*So this is where I want to add my own personal testament...when Matilda was a baby she had horrible rashes on her face and chest. We spent a small fortune on creams and oils that didn't work at all. Then someone suggested Sigrids Comfrey Cream...I thought I didn't have anything to lose at this point, because we had tried it all. Well...it worked like magic! Matildas skin totally cleared up, all thanks to this locally grown, locally made skin care salve! I know I sound like an infomercial, but truly I'm a convert!
Sigrid has kindly offered up 2 prizes!!!
The first is a package of creams that any woman would be thrilled to get...I'm not telling you what's in them...I'll announce them when I announce the winner...
The second is a prize package that would be suited for a new mama or a mama to be...
Please tell me in your comment which package you would like to win.
Wait...there's a bit more to this...some rules you must follow!!!!
What I want you to do is head on over to the Sigrid Naturals site, and tell me which of her products you think sounds heavenly! Everyone who comes by our blog can enter once...however, if you are a follower and friend of Twig and Toadstool, you can enter daily until the contest closes on Tuesday Sept 7th at midnight), we'll announce the winners on Wednesday morning, and disclose your wonderful prize packages!

I can't used conventional products as they are too scented so natural products are essential for me. This looks like a great business!
ReplyDeleteoh wow. they all look so yummy. The comfrey and salves interest me, but my selfish self would like anything for me. So how about the every woman package. Maybe she could make sampler sizes an a little kit for selling for those who are afraid to commit to something big, like me. :}
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing.
I'm torn between the calendula and the comfry. Both would be used more than you'd imagine at our house. I'd be curious to see what's in the "any woman" prize. (:

ReplyDeleteSigrids Hair Oil looks divine. And I'm not a mamma, so "any woman" for me!
ReplyDeletewell, the comfrey cream looks interesting. the lip balm looked great till I noticed it had spearmint, which gives me fever blisters :( so I'd settle on the hair oil.

The lavender and rose geranium body butter looks lovely. I would love to win the 'any woman' surprise.
ReplyDeletePaula
Both the Comfrey Healing and Chickweed Ointment sound PERFECT for my "any woman" needs. I have used several of Sigrid's products. Her "Mama's Belly Butter" is AMAZING, especially for chapped breastfeeding nipples. Love the lip balms too!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks to Sigrid and Twig & Toadstool for such a dreamy giveaway :-)
Gosh! Almost everything sounds like something I could use! I wish I could smell them trough the computer! I would love to get a hold of the comfrey healing ointment, or the morning mist spray, or....or...or....

ReplyDeleteHere's my second entry too. These products sound great. Ella and I have such sensitive skin. The Man's Hands sounds like just the thing Colin needs. His hands are such a mess in the winter -all that wet and cold. I'd like the 'any woman' package.
ReplyDeletePaula
Oh I love everything to do with homemade balms and lotions. I'd go for the face creams either carrot and roses or rose. I love the smell of rose on my face. I'd opt for the any woman package. What a truly lovely giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThe more I look at Sigrid's products, the more I want to splurge and buy some for myself - not sure I'd be able to pick just one, though!
ReplyDeleteOoh, lovely! I would be most interested in the "package of creams that any woman would be thrilled to get."
ReplyDeleteThe Forest Girl healing salve sounds delightful -- the ingredient list sounds like a bouquet. I'm also intrigued by the 100-mile salve, man's hands salve & paddler's salve (I'm partial to any salve which contains beeswax!)

ReplyDeleteThanks so much to both of you! Great products, Sigrid!
Homemade creams and salves are always much nicer, richer and of course have all those wonderful natural ingredients along with a special touch of love.
ReplyDeletehow lovely! i would adore the mama-to-be set. or any woman for that matter. the hair oil looks awesome - i make my own shampoo so my hair could use a little extra bit of loving, i think!
ReplyDeleteThird entry for any woman.
ReplyDeleteI'd love the any woman.... the ylang ylang body butter seems intriguing to me.
ReplyDeletealso wondering where you source your supplies from, living in a small town seems to make it a bit more difficult to find ingredients for such homemade adventures...
Back again. Pick me, pick me :)
ReplyDeleteThe Rose Blossom Face Cream sounds dreamy!
ReplyDeleteHere I´m again. Hope I win, as this day was such a disaster- have to write my master´s thesis, but could not write a line today, just reading... could not get myself to the computer for writing, was surfing the net,... And my deadline is running out...anyway, you have great stuff and tomorow will be another day with another chance to make up for today!
ReplyDeleteViola.
I would love the 'any woman' one! The salves on her site look like something our family could get good use out of :)
ReplyDeleteMy third entry! Here in Germany it´s already 11 a.m., I´m working and reading (for my thesis) at a friend´s house south of Munich, can see the Alps from my window and "Zugspitze" from the balcony and several lakes are nearby. Lots of different birds can also be watched. Yesterday I saw a blindworm on the patio and some days ago a hedgehog was visiting me while I was reading down in the garden... We collect wild apples falling down from the tree and make aplesauce from them and put them in cereal and in salads.Great surroundings here- would love to live here for a longer time and experience the seasons changing.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Viola.
