Spinning Acorn Twig Tops!

"The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn"
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Always looking for new ways to to create with the little acorn!
Our latest fun...
The acorn spinning  top!

~ Simple & Sweet ~
We collected up some acorns and sticks

I pulled the top off each acorn and with a nail and hammer gently put a hole through the top.
Next I placed a stick into the hole (with a wee bit of glue gun glue to hold it tight)
and voila! A spinning top!

The girls loved playing with these "fairy tops" (as Luna calls them)
I enjoyed watching the giggles of delight that erupted!
Who new an acorn could be so much fun?!

Happy Spinning!

  1. That is so coincidental, I was just online trying (unsuccessfully)to source acorn caps here in Australia for a felting project I have in mind. You've both such beautiful names.
